clients on domestic, foreign and cross-border transactions involving public and private equity,
senior and subordinated debt, distressed and deep value assets, commercial real estate,

and Japan.

William Frenkel began his legal career as a mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance

securities underwriters, placement agents and issuers of debt and equity in private placements
and public offerings.  He continued as in-house counsel for a U.S. multinational corporation

its publicly traded U.S. parent company) where he has worked directly with chief executives
on structuring, negotiating and implementing mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and
other strategic transactions in the U.S. and 15 countries in Europe and Asia.

Prior to founding this firm, Mr. Frenkel, as a principal of his own firm, represented media,
telecom, publishing, advertising, internet, e-commerce, software, technology, service,
manufacturing, specialty food and luxury goods producers, financial service companies,
consultancies, and other entities in a wide variety of corporate, commercial, and financial
transactions.  In addition, William Frenkel has developed a special expertise in cross-border
transactions, having counseled European companies on investing and doing business in the
United States, American firms entering European and Asian markets, and having represented
Western investors and traders in emerging market economies.  For the last five years, Mr.
Frenkel has concentrated his practice on serving the legal needs of the alternative investment
funds industry, and has served as outside counsel to a number of small and medium-size (up
